    Alfre Woodard Will Voice The Lioness In The 'The Lion King' Reboot

    American film, stage, and television actress, producer, and political activist Alfre Woodard is known for her remarkable portrayal of roles in movies such as Primal Fear, Crooklyn and K-Pax. The veteran actress has joined another legendary movie.

    The Heart and Souls star has been roped in the voice cast for the remake of the classic movie ‘The Lion King’. The 64-year-old will be the voice of Sarabi, who is Simba’s mother. The remake of the 1994 musical will be helmed by Jon Favreau. Apart from Woodard, The voice of Simba will be Donald Glover and the voice of Mufasa will be reprised by James Earl Jones.

    The script of the ‘The Lion King’ remake is penned by Jeff Nathanson. The project will bankrolled by Favreau and Jeffrey Silver. The movie is slated to hit the screens in July 2019.
