Amanda Seyfried to star in Young Americans

Amanda Seyfried has joined the cast of Young Americans. The 29-year-old actress joins the cast of the film alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Dane Dehaan. The movie will be helmed by Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas.

The movie is based upon true events from the ‘70s. The film focuses on Lee Atwater- to be played by Radcliffe and Karl Love- to be played by Dane Dehaan. The duo plan a road trip through the south all the way to the White House as they get a crash course in deception and politics. Seyfried will be seen essaying the role of a young female politician, who plans on beating the boys at their own game.

The movie will be produced by Bruce Cohen and Liz Destro under his banner of Destro Films along with Kim Leadford of StarStream Media and Frank Frattaroli of Circle of Confusion. The film will go on the floor in September. Amanda Seyfried was last seen on the big screen in While We’re Young and will also be seen in Ted 2 later this year.
