American actor Geoffrey Lewis passes away

Geoffrey Lewis, the American actor best known for his roles in Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood films, breathed his last yesterday at the age of 79. The actor, father of actress Juliette Lewis, died from natural causes at his home in Woodland Hills, California.

Lewis was born in 1935 and spent his earliest years in Rhode Island. He made his first appearance with "Man In Park", which was based on an obscure horror mystery called ‘The Fat Black Pussycat.’ “My dad. My hero. My dad my love my loving father. My strength my might. My friend. My hugs. My laughter. My love. My dad. Oh my heart. My heart. He loved us so. He loved us so. So so much. I am forever my father's daughter and he will never been gone", Juliette said in an Instagram post.

According to Daily Mail, apart from being an artist, Lewis was also a scientologist. In 2005, the actor was quoted on the official Scientology website saying: ‘’The wins that I’ve had with Scientology coincide directly with the rise in my career… I wish to acknowledge Ron’s [L Hubbard] brilliant work, benevolence and stick-to-it-ness. He never gave up and I am thankful and happy to be a recipient of that knowledge’’.
