Hollywood actor Andrew Garfield feels lucky to have got a chance to play real-life polio patient Robin Cavendish in 'Breathe'. The actor said that portraying Robin in the film gave him an opportunity to understand him. He said that the way Robin laughed at the universe inspired him the most.

"I'm an able-bodied actor playing someone who is disabled. It was wonderful, incredibly inspiring. I got to learn a lot about myself and my privilege and the things that I take for granted. The fact that I have a body and I can move it. That's one of the main things I took away from the film,” said the Hacksaw Ridge star.

He added, "I thought, here's a man I can learn from because I haven't faced the kind of adversity he's faced, and yet he had this unquenchable spirit and longing to live. And I found that incredibly uplifting and inspiring.” 'Breathe' is directed by Andy Serkis and is based on the life Robin Cavendish, who was paralysed by polio at the age of 28. He was bed ridden and was given only few months to live. The film will show how Robin with the help of his family and inventor Teddy Hall devotes the rest of his life to help fellow patients and the disabled. The flick also stars Claire Foy in an important role.
