Andrew Garfield nearly passed out while shooting for Spider-Man movie

While shooting an action scene for The Amazing Spider-Man, lead actor Andrew Garfield almost suffocated himself as he didnt know proper breathing techniques needed for the under-water sequence. The Social Network star dove in without realizing that his iconic spandex suit wasn't water-proof and it had become impossible for him to breathe in the wet mask. The star was quoted as saying by the New York Daily News, "I had to get wet, and I just kind of dove in and didn't realise that water on the mask made it impossible to breathe. So I was kind of, like, suffocating. I couldn't get any oxygen! I water-boarded myself". However, the star was rescued by his coordinator, Andy Armstrong, immediately when he noticed that the actor is struggling to breathe. He jumped into the water and freed him from the constrictive suit.
