Angel Has Fallen Will Bring Back Gerard Butler as Mike Banning

Deadline has reported that Millennium Films is planning on developing a third instalment in the action packed franchise consisting of ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ and ‘London Has Fallen’. The movie will be titled ‘Angel Has Fallen’ and will bring back Gerard Butler as Mike Banning. ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ (2013) was directed by Antoine Fuqua while this year’s ‘London Has Fallen’ was helmed by Babak Najafi.

The 2013 film had Mike protect the President, played by Aaron Eckhart, when the White House was captured by terrorists. Mike single-handedly rescued the President and teamed up with him to take back the White House. The sequel, ‘London Has Fallen’, has Mike protecting the President and Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs from an ambush in London.

Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt will return as script writers for ‘Angel Has Fallen’. This time, Mike will be the target of a terrorist attack. It is expected that the production for the film will commence in the first half of next year.
