Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Join The Cast Of Oceans Eleven All-female Reboot

It is known that Warner Bros is making an all-female spin-off of the 2001 film ‘Ocean’s Eleven’. The movie starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and Andy Garcia. Now, reports have thrown some light on the cast for the female oriented reboot titled ‘Ocean’s Ocho’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and singers Rihanna and Awkwafina have joined the cast for the film. Warner Bros has found actresses to fill seven out of eight spots for the film. It will also star Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, who will be heading the cast.

‘Oceans Ocho’ will be directed by Gary Ross and will begin production in October in New York. The screenplay has been written by Olivia Milch and Ross. The original 2001 film was directed by Steven Soderbergh and was quite a success. It saw two sequels titled ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ and ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’.
