The Identical star will first visit Kolkata on January 23 to attend an event where she will read out a translated version of a story titled ‘The Last Customer’, which is written by Niranjana. The poignant novel tells the story of a 16-year-old girl named Kani. Though the 48-year-old has visited India before but it will be her maiden trip to Kolkata.

Judd, who is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), was recently in news for supporting the issue of misogynistic cyberbulling of women in the tech industry. The actress has always spoken against sexual harassment of women. Besides, she has also done some humanitarian work around AIDS and has also visited many places like Cambodia, Kenya, Rwanda, and many others which are affected by illness and poverty.
