Ashley Judd Will Feature In 'A Dog's Way Home'

Hollywood actress Ashley Judd, who had earlier featured in Divergent is all set to star in an upcoming canine drama 'A Dog's Way Home'. The film will be directed by Charles Martin Smith, which is an adaptation of the bestselling book written by W Bruce Cameron. The film will also feature Edward James Olso, Wes Studi, Alexandra Shipp and Jonah Hauer-King.

The story of the film revolves around a dog named Bella, who gets separated from her dearly loved human, Lucas. Bella’s quest takes her on an adventure covering a 400-mile journey. According to the novel, “Bella touches the lives of many during her unwavering quest; from an orphaned mountain lion cub to a homeless veteran down on his luck, Bella brings joy and comfort to everyone she meets with her unique spirit and faith”.

Moreover, it Cameron’s wife and co-writer of the novel, Cathryn Michon has worked on the film’s screenplay. It has been heard that the role of Bella will be played by two dogs that have been rescued by the studio. Further details are yet to be revealed, however, the production of the movie has begun.
