Actress Sigourney Weaver, who essayed the role of Grace Augustine in Avatar, has revealed that the epic science fiction films sequel will go on floors this autumn. During an interview with hollywoodreporter.com, Weaver said, “We’re starting. We’re starting training, and we’re starting — hmm, I probably can’t say anything. We will be actually shooting it by the fall.”

The Oscar-winning director James Cameron had earlier stated that all the four Avatar sequels have been scripted. But later he stated that the second film might not release in 2018. Speaking on the same, he said, “Well, 2018 is not happening. We haven’t announced a firm release date. What people have to understand is that this is a cadence of releases. So we’re not making ‘Avatar 2.’ We’re making ‘Avatar 2,’ 3, 4 and 5. It’s an epic undertaking. It took us four-and-a-half years to make one movie and now we’re making four. We’re full tilt boogie right now.”

In the sequel, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana will return alongside Weaver. However, the director assures that the film will be worth the wait. Fans how excited are you?
