Bac Films To Produce ‘We Need Your Vote’

Bac Films is all set to produce the upcoming movie ‘We Need Your Vote’, a comedy which is set in the French political world. The flick will be directed by Michel Sapin, who is a high-profile French comic-book artist. Sapin is famous for writing the graphic novel ‘Le Château – Une année dans les coulisses de l’Élysée’ (The Castle – a year behind the scenes at the Elysée). He is also well versed in France’s political environment as he has spent 12 months campaigning for former France President Francois Hollande in 2012.

‘We Need Your Vote’ will star French actress Alexandra Lamy and Finnegan Oldfield. While Alexandra will play the role of Agnes, a ruthless communications manager for the campaign of a presidential candidate, Finnegan will be essaying the role of Arnaud, a young, bright and inexperienced staffer who joins Agnes’s team. Although Arnaud is new to this fearless world, he is able to find a way between the twists of the campaign, the rivalries inside the team, and unexpectedly outsmarts his own boss, Agnes.

“Sapin is one of the country’s most celebrated comicbook artist and his film, ‘We Need Your Vote,’ is very sharply written and gives audiences a real and rare insight into the highest circles of France’s political field,” said Gilles Sousa, head of international sales at Bac Films. Gilles compared the movie to ‘The French Minister’, Bertrand Tavernier’s political comedy based on the comic-book ‘Quai d’Orsay’. Bac Films producing the movie along with Pyramide Productions.
