    Batman v Superman Crosses $530 Million Globally

    In just six days, from its release on March 25 to March 30, Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman has pooled in more than $530 million worldwide. Officials estimate that the way in which the movie is progressing, it will top the coming weekend’s box office earnings as well. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice saw an opening weekend of $166 million which is the biggest March opening of all time.

    The movie has taken by storm, several records which include the widest release pre-May, the largest opening for a DC film, the best pre-summer opening and the largest Easter opening. It comes seventh on the list of highest openings of all time with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in the sixth place. Dawn of Justice has also become Warner Bros.’ second-biggest international opening of all time.

    The movie stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. It also introduces Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Batman v Superman follows the events of the 2013 film ‘Man of Steel’ and makes way for the upcoming Justice League films.
