Warner Bros. had revealed a short deleted scene clip a week after the release of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and it showed a mysterious being which raised a lot of eyebrows. Speculations suggested that it could be either Yuga Khan, Darkseid’s father or Steppenwolf, Darkseid’s General. Now, as reported by BirthMoviesDeath, the creature is Steppenwolf who will be the main antagonist in the upcoming 'Justice League' film.

Steppenwolf was the leader of Darkseid’s army of Apokolips. The character was created by Jack Kirby and made his first appearance back in 1972. BirthMoviesDeath reported that Steppenwolf will have a “contentious history with Darkseid”. It also stated that the Justice League will be overwhelmed by the villains in the film and that they will have to “turn to a dead friend for help”.

'Justice League' is currently in the production stage. It will bring back Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ben Affleck as Batman. The movie will be directed by Zack Snyder and will also feature Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash. It will be released on November 10 next year.
