The first season of Gotham commenced on September 22 last year. It was first commissioned for 16 episodes but later, Fox added 6 more episodes to the show. Ben plays the role of Commissioner James Gordon and the series is based in Batman’s city Gotham, though Bruce Wayne is still a young boy.

Ben stated, “I think we made a mistake relatively early on in trying to introduce a villain and take care of that villain in one episode: catch them, send them to Arkham, do whatever. That was just a mistake. We should’ve never done it”. He added that the audience also had a hard time in following all the changes regarding when the show will be aired and when it will be on a break.

About the second season, for which Ben feels quite confident, he said, “The audience really wants to understand who these people are and live with them, sit with them and enjoy them. Whether they’re evil or good, they are entertaining. So that’s what we’re doing in season 2. [It’s] really kick ass. I think it’s exactly what the fans want to see”.
