Bill Paxton is in talks to star opposite Daniel Radcliffe in BBC Films’ Grand Theft Auto, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is being produced by Jim Spencer and Mark Hedgecoe and the production would start by the end of the month. Paxton is in talks to essay the role of Jack Thompson.

The 59-year-old actor was last seen in Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and in Nightcrawler alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. The movie depicts a true-life account of the legal fight between Radcliffe, who plays Sam Houser, the creator of the ‘Grand Theft Auto’, and Paxton, who plays attorney Jack Thompson, a staunch opponent of the Grand Theft Auto Series . Rockstar Games, the company behind ‘GTA’ video game, has been sued by anti-violence activists including Thompson for promoting sex and violence via video games.

The drama film will be helmed by Black Mirror director Owen Harris and has been written by James Wood. The movie will begin filming April 20, after casting for the flick is completed. The film is based on the narrative non-fiction book ‘Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto’, written by David Kushner.
