    Brie Larson Replacing Emma Stone In Battle Of The Sexes

    The forthcoming flick Battle of the Sexes, a true tennis tale, will see a shift in the cast as Brie Larson will replace Emma Stone for the lead role. Larson is known for her films Short Term 12 and 21 Jump Street. According to Variety, Emma Stone had to back out of the project due to scheduling issues.

    The movie focuses on the crowd famous 1973 tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King. Bobby Riggs was a 55-year-old retired former Wimbledon champion who went against the 29-year-old female tennis star who was ranked no. 2 at the time. The crowd cheered as Billie Jean was able to beat Riggs, but what was happening behind the scenes was unknown.

    The movie will be directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. Steve Carell will play the role of Riggs alongside the new addition, Larson, who will play Billie Jean King. Battle of the Sexes will be produced by Danny Boyle and Christian Colson.
