    Bryan Fuller Talks About Star Trek: Discovery

    Hannibal show runner Bryan Fuller has revealed details regarding the upcoming TV show ‘Star Trek: Discovery’. The new show will premier on CBS in January of next year and then become available for streaming on CBS All Access. It will star a female lead and the team is looking for a diverse actress for the job.

    Stating that the female lead will be a human, Bryan revealed that there will be robots as well. He shared, “We’ll probably have a few more aliens than you typically have on the show. We wanted to paint a picture of Starfleet where we’re going to have new exciting aliens and also new imagining of existing aliens”.

    When asked about the presence of a gay character on the show, Bryan stated, “Absolutely we’re having a gay character”. The first season of Star Trek: Discovery will have 13 episodes and according to the show runner, each episode will be a chapter with a beginning, middle and end. The show will be set about 10 years prior to Captain Kirk’s mission.
