Cate Blanchett reveals her desire to play the dwarf in The Hobbit

Cate Blanchett has revealed something very interesting about her character aspirations. The actress who plays the elf Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series said that she would have loved had she been playing a dwarf in the movies.

After carrying on with her role in The Lord of the Rings series, she reprised it in the Hobbit series since both are movie adaptations of books written by JJR Tolkien`s. Cate said that she was desperate to be in the makeup room and be dressed with the hair and beard that went along with the character. "I was so desperate to play a dwarf. The facial hair. You go into the wig room. Oh my god. The beard," she said excitedly. The next of the Hobbit series The Battle of the Five Armies will releaseby the end of this year.
