Catherine Zeta-Jones enjoyed playing wicked character in Rock of Ages

Hollywood beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones has revealed that she loved to play a negative role in her upcoming film Rock of Ages. Catherine plays the character of conservative Patricia Whitmore, who tried to close down the Bourbon Room, in the Tom Cruise starrer film based on the Broadway musical of the same name. The 42-year-old actress said, ''It's just a movie that lends itself to having a blast. It's larger than life and we got to sing all these 80s songs. I had a lot of fun with my character because she's like the odd one out in a way and I got to play the baddie. She's a nightmare of a woman; absolutely horrible.'' After a gap, now the actress is again signing various kinds of projects and enjoying it. ''I do enjoy working; I love the camaraderie of being on a set. I love being in the theatre. I just love what I do. I feel like at this time in my career, I'm 42, I'm not going to be the ingnue for the rest of my life. So I'm happy with the type of roles that are coming my way.''
