Chadwick Boseman Talks About Black Panther

After making his debut as Black Panther in the hit film Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman will be reprising his role as the Wakandan superhero in a solo film. The actor recently spoke about the project and revealed that it will be “a little grittier” than the other Marvel films. He is quite thrilled about the project.

Talking about the film, Chadwick shared, “I’m glad that the tone of (Black Panther) may be a little grittier. I just wanted to establish that from the beginning, that that’s what we were doing. That that’s what I intend to do. I feel like we’ll end up in a place that I’ve always wanted to be when I look at superhero movies. Those are the ones I like the most. It’s exciting to do that”.

He also stated that he likes funny superhero movies but gravitates towards the films that have a “darker superhero”. The 39-year-old actor stated that he loved Ant-Man and other lighter Marvel films. ‘Black Panther’ is scheduled for release in 2018 with Ryan Coogler directing. The cast also includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis and Danai Gurira, along with others.
