Channing Tatum To Sport Mermaid’s Role In Splash Remake

The rumour mills have once again churned out reports that Disney is making a remake of the 1984 film Splash. To make it a little more interesting, it has shortlisted Channing Tatum to play mermaid’s role in the romantic comedy flick. The character was originally played by Daryl Hannah.

The film involves a young man who falls in love with a mysterious woman who is secretly an aquatic creature. According to reports, Jillian Bell has bagged the role of the man who will be seen romancing Channing Tatum or the mermaid in the Splash remake. Imagine Entertainment’s Ron Howard and Brian Grazer will serve as the producers of the flick.

Tatum and Bell have previously worked together in Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's helmed film 22 Jump Street. The Goosebumps starrer bell will be next seen in an upcoming comedy flick Office Christmas Party. On the other hand, the Magic Mike actor has signed a British-American spy action film Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Desimartini wishes both the actors all the best for their forthcoming ventures.
