Chewie, Solo Together In Han Solo Movie

It is known that Han Solo will be getting a dedicated Star Wars Story movie which will show the origin of the intergalactic smuggler. Now, Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that Chewbacca will be present in the film as well. Iger stated that the movie will be “an origin story about Han Solo and Chewie”.

For the role of Han, it is suspected that Emory Cohen, Scott Eastwood, Dave Franco, Logan Lerman, Ansel Elgort, Blake Jenner and Miles Teller are the contenders for the part. With only a couple of details out, it is unconfirmed whether Joonas Suotamo will reprise his role as Chewie or not. What is known for sure is that the screenplay will be written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan.

The Han Solo movie will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. It will be executive produced by Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin. The movie will hit the screens on May 25, 2018.
