Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo Images Debuts Online

Comicbookmovie.com has released a few set photos for the forthcoming Doctor Strange film that stars Benedict Cumberbatch. The images show The Martian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. Baron was a also a student of The Ancient One with powerful magical abilities. The character was developed by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Initial reports stated that Mordo’s role will not be completely negative in the film. This might suggest that Mordo starts of as a friend of Doctor Strange and then turns to the dark side. The duo first locked horns when Mordo came up with a plan to kill their teacher.

Directed by Scott Derrickson, the movie will hit theatres on November 4 next year. The cast will include Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Tilda Swinton. Doctor Strange will be part of Marvel’s Phase Three. Jon Spaihts has written the script for the movie. Mads Mikkelsen is also being eyed for the role of a villain.
