Chrissy Metz To Star In Horror Film 'The Will O Wisp'

Actress Chrissy Metz has been approached to star in the horror flick 'The Will O Wisp'. Canadian writer-director Evan Cooper will be at the helm of affairs for the project. The story of the movie will revolve around recently divorced Montana man and his dog who are lured into the woods on their property after they see a strange light.

The 37-year-old actress will essay the role of a nurse with a checkered past who works at the local assisted-living center. The movie has been described as Signs meets Misery. Metz rose to fame after playing the role of Barbara / Ima Wiggles on FX's ‘American Horror Story: Freakshow’ from 2014-15.  

However, her profile catapulted into stardom after she essayed the role of Kate Peterson on the NBC family drama ‘This Is Us’ for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role and Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. ‘This Is Us’ is in its second season and continues to earn big ratings. She will next be seen in the movie ‘Sierra Burgess is a Loser’ where she will essay the role of Veronica’s mom.

Copper on the other recently helmed the short film ‘The Armoire’, which is being screened at various film festivals.
