Christopher Nolan States The Reason Behind The Success Of ‘Dark Knight Trilogy’

Amidst the back-to-back releases of several superhero genre movies, it can be observed that no superhero movie has been able to create an impact like the ‘Dark Knight Trilogy’. The three movies Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises were released in 2005, 2008 and 2012 respectively. The movies were helmed by Christopher Nolan.

Regarding the success of his superhero genre movies, Christopher stated that he was given ample time to helm the movies at that time. He was quoted as saying, “That's a privilege and a luxury that filmmakers aren't afforded anymore. I think it was the last time that anyone was able to say to a studio, 'I might do another one, but it will be four years”.

He further added, “There's too much pressure on release schedules to let people do that now but creatively it's a huge advantage”. The auteur ended his statement saying, “We had the privilege and advantage to develop as people and as storytellers and then bring the family back together”.
