    Cillian Murphy: To an actor, nostalgia is death

    Irish actor Cillian Murphy is known for his roles in Christopher Nolan helmed movies. The actor is now starring in the historical war movie ‘Dunkirk’. ‘Dunkirk’ is also helmed by Christopher Nolan.

    Recently, the actor opened about himself, Murphy revealed that he does not prefers to watch his movies more than once as he looks forward to his next character. Cillian was quoted as saying, “I want to see the film at the premiere, and that will be it. I'll see it once. I don't know anyone who pores over their work because the impulse is always the next - the next piece I do will be the best piece I do”.  

    The Anthropoid star further added, “To an actor, nostalgia is death. When you look at your work from 10-years ago and think that was the apotheosis, well, you're done really. It's got to be forward thinking”. The actor ended his statement praising Christopher Nolan and revealed that he would sign any movie irrespective of its genre helmed by the 46-year-old auteur.
