A fan had a ‘once-in-a-lifetime experience’ at a Coldplay concert in Dublin on Sunday, and not just because he saw them perform live.

Wheelchair-bound personal trainer Rob, 29, was spotted by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, crowd-surfing towards the stage. Martin beckoned him to come over, gave him a hug, whispered some words in his ear, and introduced the 75,000-strong crowd to him.

Rob hadn’t come empty-handed. He had brought his harmonica with him. Martin then proceeded to perform an impromptu song about Rob, and Dublin.

Speaking to the BBC,Rob recounted his experience: “A lad fell on me. A few friends insisted on lifting me, and getting me a better view. Suddenly I was on stage with Coldplay.”
