Comedian Dave Chappelle To Star In This Multi-Starrer Remake

Comedian Dave Chappelle will be making a comeback to the big screen after three years with his last film being Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq. The comedian will also be making his directorial debut with this movie. The title of the movie is ‘A Star is Born’ alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

The movie will be the third remake of the 1937 movie which starred Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. The 1937 movie has already been remade twice in 1954 and 1976. Chappelle will play ‘Noodles’, oldest friend of Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper) who used to perform with him at blues clubs. Jackson (Cooper), a country music star who is losing his stardom finds an unknown talent Ally a.k.a Stefani Germanotta (Lady Gaga). Both Jackson and Germanotta have a love affair and Jackson helps her talent to achieve stardom. As Germanotta’s career goes up, Jackson is unable to deal with his fading popularity.

The movie went on the floors at the Coachella Music Festival last month. The movie is penned by Will Fetters, Eric Roth and also Bradley Cooper who is also directing the movie. The movie also stars Andrew Dice Clay and Sam Elliott and is slated to release on September 28, 2018.
