Daniel Brühl To Play Baron Zemo In Captain America: Civil War

Kicking of Marvel’s Phase three will be the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War. Among the many superheroes and supervilains in the film will be Baron Zemo, who, according to the comics, was one of the top scientists in the Nazi party. The character will be portrayed by Daniel Brühl from Inglorious Basterds fame.

According to Business Insider, Daniel revealed some details about the character saying, “He does not wear the mask. You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think. It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think”.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Civil War will hit the screens on May 6 next year. The movie will have Chris Evans reprise his role as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner and Don Cheadle will also be returning as their iconic characters.
