Daniel Craig: I need to get back to normal life

The Hollywood industry has been recently plagued by the question, ‘Who will be the next Bond?’ after Daniel Craig completes his contract. The speculation have brought in three nominations that include Homeland actor Damien Lewis, Pacific Rim actor Idris Elba and Mad Max star Tom Hardy. Daniel Craig recently spoke to EW about his role in the franchise.

Daniel is supposed to play the agent in one more film after Spectre according to his contract. He said, “I can’t give you an honest answer at this point. It’s not that I’m trying to play hard to get. I’ve just given it no thought whatsoever. This movie has taken up two years of my life. And I just need a break. I need to get back to normal life. I need to reintroduce myself to my family who are not best pleased with me. The idea of planning ahead — I’m not trying to be coy. People want an answer and I don’t have one”.

Barbara Broccoli, who has been involved in producing the franchise stated that the actor is the “beating heart at the center” of the franchise but gave no confirmation regarding his existence in the next installment after Spectre. The 24^th film in the Bond franchise Spectre, will be released on November 6 and will be Daniel’s fourth film as James Bond. The film is directed by Sam Mendes.
