Halle Berry and 007 Daniel Craig may fall in love in the upcoming movie Kings, which is set around the L.A. riots in 1992. Kings will be directed by Deniz Gamze Erguven and will be his English-language debut and the filmmaker will be re-teaming with Mustang producer Charles Gillibert on the project. Daniel Craig's future as 007 hasn't been confirmed as of yet.

According to Deadline, Craig is in final talks to join forces with the Die Another Day queen in Kings, a movie set in 1992 during the Rodney King trial, a real-life court case that helped set off the Los Angeles riots in the South Central area of the city. 55 people died in the riots, which spread across Los Angeles and lasted six days.

The movie will follow a character named Ollie (Craig), “a loner who lives in South Central — one of its only white residents — who befriends and falls in love with Berry’s character, a tough, protective mother who looks after a group of kids,” according to Deadline. Berry can next be seen next year in the 20th Century Fox sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Craig, meanwhile, is set to lead the Showtime miniseries Purity.
