Famously known for his role of Daniel Plainview in the film ‘There Will Be Blood’, Daniel Day-Lewis had made an announcement last week which stated that he will be retiring from acting. Like everyone wanting to leave behind a legacy for themselves, Daniel also wants to go out with a bang, according to sources at least. The 60-year-old actor will be playing a dressmaker in his last film.

The source shared, “He's so method, it takes him three years to prepare for a role. He was telling friends he really wanted to go out with a bang”. The same source also spoke about the actor’s upcoming role and said that he will be playing “an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society”. Apparently, Daniel got so involved in preparing for the role, learning about couture fashion, that he will be taking up his on screen profession as a real time job after he quits.

The film will be based in the 1950s and Daniel’s character will be designing clothes for members of the high society and royalty. The project does not have a title as of yet but will be directed by Paul Thomas Anderson who was at the helm of affairs for ‘There Will Be Blood’. It is expected to release sometime next year.
