Daniel Kaluuya Joins Cast of Widows

Get Out Star Daniel Kaluuya has landed a strong role in Steve McQueen’s heist movie, Widows. The star cast of the flick include Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, and Cynthia Erivo. The venture is to be helmed by McQueen, who is co writing the script with Gone Girl screenwriter and novelist Gillian Flynn.

Widows will be produced by Emile Sherman and Iain Canning of See-Saw Films, the very house that produced Oscar nominated flick, Lion. This women centric flick is based on the 1983 British mini-series about a caper terribly gone wrong.

Talking about Daniel’s Get Out, the movie is doing incredibly well at the box office with estimated opening weekend for Universal-Blumhouse. In this, Kaluuya stars as Chris Washington, a young African-American man visiting his white girlfriend’s mysterious estate.
