As Harry Potter and the Cursed Child starts its previews, Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he's still "not sure" whether he should see the new play. When asked at the premiere of his new film Now You See Me 2 in New York City whether he'll make time to watch the play he added, "I don't know. I'm busy doing a play here at the moment, but I'm not sure."

Daniel also told America's E! News,"It would be a weird one, I could be completely wrong in this, but I feel like if I went to see it that night, there's going to be a lot of Harry Potter fans there in the audience obviously and would that then become a thing? Would it be more about them watching me watch the show or would it take away from the show. I would never want to do anything that would distract or take away from the show.”

On Wednesday Harry Potter author Rowling wrote, "So, reaction to first preview was... wonderful. Feedback is fans really do want to #KeepTheSecrets for each other's sake." After Harry Potter and the Cursed Child's preview shows, the two part play officially opens on 30 July 2016, with its initial run at the Palace Theatre concluding on 27 May 2017.
