Danny Boyle to mark 20 years of Trainspotting with a sequel

2016 will mark twenty yearsof 1996'sTrainspottingby Danny Boyle and the filmmaker is planning something big to celebrate the occasion. Boyle is eyeing a sequel to the movie which will be based onPorno,authorIrvine Welsh's follow-up to the original novelTrainspotting.

Boyle looks confident about getting back the original cast ofEwan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, Peter Mullan and Kelly Macdonaldonce again altogether for the sequel,"I don't think there will be any barriers to Ewan [McGregor] or any of the cast coming back.”

He added more, "I think they'll wanna know that the parts are good so they don't feel like they are letting anyone down." He also thinks that "the only criteria" is that the fans of the original one do not get disappointed at all.
