Denis Villeneuve Is Inspired By Ryan Gosling

Denis Villeneuve is currently making a sequel to the hit 1982 film ‘Blade Runner’ with Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto and Robin Wright. The original film starred Harrison Ford, who will also be present in the sequel. The director recently showered Ryan with praises and said that he is inspired by him.

At a promotion event for ‘Arrival’ at the Venice Film Festival, Denis told Reuters, “I can say nothing... it’s an insane project that is moving forward ... we are in the middle of the shoot right now and Ryan Gosling is fantastic”. Further praising Ryan, he stated, “For me it’s a big, big, big ... artistic encounter ... I have never been that inspired by an actor ... He is really doing something special in front of the camera right now”.

The sequel does not have a name as of yet and only a few details are available about the project. The producers, however, have stated that the film will be based decades after the original. Ryan was last seen in ‘The Nice Guys’ where he shared screen space with Russell Crowe.
