American Film Institute's lifetime achievement awards are all set to take place next month. And do you know which actress will be honoured with the prestigious award? Well, she is none other than veteran actress Diane Keaton.

Keaton will accept the 45th Life Achievement Award during a gala tribute in Los Angeles on June 8. Talking about Diane, Howard Stringer, who is the chair of the AFI Board of Trustees, said, "Diane Keaton is one of the most beloved leading ladies of American film. Peerless in her mastery of both comedy and drama, she has won the world's heart time and again by creating characters of both great strength and vulnerability.”

Howard further added, "Her career as a director and producer is even further evidence of her passion for the art form and her seemingly boundless talents.” The 71-year-old actress has previously won an Oscar for essaying the titular character in Annie Hall. Others who have been honoured with lifetime achievement award include Steve Martin, Mel Brooks, Morgan Freeman, Michael Douglas and Al Pacino.
