Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio was offered a chance to play the role of Anakin Skywalker in the prequels of Star Wars. The actor turned down the opportunity as he felt he wasn’t ready for that role. Had he taken the part, would the series have been any different?

In an interview with The Short List, the actor revealed, “I did have a meeting with George Lucas about that [the role of Skywalker]. Again, just didn’t feel ready to take that dive. At that point”. According to an article in the Guardian back in 2000, DiCaprio also visited George Lucas’ Skywalker ranch. The role was ultimately given to Hayden Christensen who also did a great job with the character.

The actor’s career has been amazing with films like The Departed, Inception, The Wolf of Wall Street, Catch Me If You Can and many more. His latest project is The Revenant, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. In his illustrious career, the actor has won several Golden Globes, MTV Movie Awards, Blockbuster Entertainment Awards and many more.
