Disney is developing yet another adaptation of ‘White Fang’

Disney is set to come back with a new adaptation of classic Jack London story 'White Fang', which was previously tackled with its 1991 adventure movie that starred Ethan Hawke. The ’90s adaptation of the story about a young man, played by a fresh newcomer named Ethan Hawke, who befriended a wolf-dog and set off on a number of adventures through Alaska during the Gold Rush.

According to sources, the new screenplay, which is set to be a modern adaptation of the story rather than a remake of the 1991 film, will be penned by Jose Rivera, who was nominated for an Oscar after writing 2004’s The Motorcycle Diaries. The film will also serve as the directorial debut for Lance Acord, a cinematographer best known for his work with Spike Jonze on films such as Being John Malkovich and Where The Wild Things Are.
