    Don't Breathe Dominates Box Office, Suicide Squad Follows

    Fede Alvarez’s horror flick ‘Don’t Breathe’ hit the screens in the U.S. on August 26. Over the weekend, the movie pooled in $26 million domestically, taking the top spot at the weekend box office list. ‘Don’t Breathe’ stars Stephen Lang, Jane Levy and Dylan Minnette.

    David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ came in second with its $12 million. Running successfully on its fourth weekend, the movie has now grossed $635 worldwide. The Warner Bros. flick stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and others. Running on its second weekend, ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ brought in $7.9 million, taking the third spot. Directed by Travis Knight, the movie has now pooled in $27 million worldwide.

    ‘Sausage Party’ hit the screens on August 12 and has grossed $88 million worldwide since then. Over its third weekend, the movie earned $7.6 million. Coming in last was Jason Statham’s ‘Mechanic: Resurrection’ which made $7.5 million on its opening weekend. The movie is the sequel to the 2011 flick ‘The Mechanic’.
