Drew Barrymore could become the next celebrity heading to television with a talk show series. According to Variety, the 41-year-old actress is in talks with Warner Bros. TV to launch her own syndicated talk show in 2017. The series, produced by her pal, comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, is based on a U.K. show of the same name.

Sources tell The Wrap that the daytime chatfest could premiere as early as fall 2017, but it is hardly a done deal. It’s also possible that the pact may instead yield a reality-TV show. This would be Drew's first major work in TV; aside from a few TV movies in the 1980s and 1990s, the very short lived series 2000 Malibu Road in 1992 and the new Netflix show she just signed on to, her career has been focused on the big screen.

While the potential chat show talks continue, Barrymore is also preparing for another TV role in Netflix's upcoming comedy Santa Clarita Diet, opposite Timothy Olyphant. The two will play married real estate agents on the series, penned by Better Off Ted writer Victor Fresco. Barrymore is also an executive producer of the show, which is scheduled to debut in 2017.
