Dwayne Johnson Shares Two New Rampage Set Photos

The upcoming film ‘Rampage’ is based on the 1980s arcade video game of the same name. The cast for the flick is lead by Dwayne Johnson who, as we all know, is quite active on social media and likes to keep his followers updated with the status of his projects. The actor recently shared two images from the set of ‘Rampage’, one of which shows off the technology involved in making the monster film and the other, showing off the main actors.

In the film, Johnson plays a primatologist named Davis Okoye who is best friends with an extraordinarily intelligent silverback gorilla named George. Davis is forced to fight against George and other predatory animals after they turn into raging monsters due to a rogue genetic experiment gone wrong. He teams up with a discredited genetic engineer to get his hands on an antidote, in hopes to get back his beloved friend.

One of the images shared by The Rock shows Jason Liles in full motion capture gear along with a facial capture helmet. The other image shows Dwayne, Naomie Harris and Jeffery Dean Morgan dressed as their characters. The actor's caption for the image, revealing character details for Naomie and Jeffery, read, “The animal loving anti-poacher Ranger from Rwanda, the groundbreaking geneticist from CRISPR and the cowboy himself from the OGA – the ‘other’ government agency”.

With direction by Brad Peyton, ‘Rampage’ will hit the screens on April 20 next year.
