Confirmed: Dwayne Johnson To Produce Cinematic Adaptation Of ‘Son of Shaolin’

Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson is all set to produce an upcoming feature film which is apparently a cinematic adaptation of graphic novel ‘Son of Shaolin’. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has joined hands with Sony Pictures to bankroll the project. Jay Longino who wrote the novel will also pen down the script of the movie reportedly.

The plot of the film as of now is being kept under wraps. However, grapevine is abuzz with rumours that the story will be roughly based on Kung Fu. At the same time, nothing can be said to be confirmed unless an official announcement is made.

The Hollywood star announced the news on Twitter, writing, “Very cool graphic novel project for our @SevenBucksProd to produce. Paying homage to Shaolin & Kung Fu”. Johnson is currently busy shooting for Fast and Furious 8 as well as Jumanji’s reboot film.
