Eddie Murphy To Be A Part Of ‘Grumpy Old Man’ Remake

Tim Story and Eddie Murphy are set to team up for the remake of the famous comedy Grumpy Old Man, released back in 1993. It starred the legendary actors Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Tim story will be directing as well as producing under The Story Entertainment Company along with Sharla Sumpter Bridgett (President of The Story Entertainment Company) and John Davis, the producer of the original 1993 film, will also produce via Davis Entertainment banner.

This story is a laughter riot of two senior citizens neighbours in a feud, with immense dislike for each other since forever, which escalated to another level in order to impress a female college professor living across the street. Murphy will be seen playing one of the old men and according to sources Samuel L. Jackson might be seen starring opposite him, in the role of the other old man. In 1995, a sequel to ‘Grumpy Old Man’ was released titled ‘Grumpier Old Man’ which was directed by Donald Petrie and both did great at the box office.

The American comic actor Eddie Murphy will be seen next playing the cult icon Rudy Ray Moore in his biopic Dolemite is My Name on Netflix. Tim Story, the first African American director crossing the billion dollar mark in gross earnings with various hits like Ride Along and Fantastic Four and Murphy with his comic timing will be a great duo. The fans of this comic icon are definitely looking forward to see the hilarious grumpy oldies soon.
