Eddie Murphy crowned most overpaid actor’s title

In a controversial declaration which may not please the fans of Hollywood icon Eddie Murphy, who was once highest box office draws, Forbes magazine has named him the most overpaid actor of the industry. In its annual list, determined by the misalignment between star salaries and their films' box office take, citing the example of recent box office bombs, such asImagine That,A Thousand WordsandMeet Dave,Forbes magazine's said, "Murphy's career has just collapsed". Murphy is followed by actress Drew Barrymore.

Forbes calculated that for every dollar Murphy was paid for his last three films, they returned an average of just 2.30 dollars at the box office. Murphy placed second onthe list a year ago. Others who made to the top five are popular actresses Katherine Heigl and Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock with "returns" ranging from 3.40 dollars to 5 dollars.
