Eddie Redmayne Blessed With A Baby Girl

After confirming to fans that they were expecting a baby back in January, actor Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe welcomed a baby girl, according to a report by E! News on Sunday. The newborn girl, Iris May Redmayne, is the couple's first child. Eddie previously admitted they were waiting to find out if the baby was a boy or a girl, telling Extra at the Oscars: "It's gonna be a surprise.

The couple announced the pregnancy in January. The Oscar winner told People earlier this year that they would be keeping the sex of the baby a surprise. “I’m excited,” he said. “But I don’t think it’s sunk in yet. We just bought our first baby book. So, there’s the first step. We’re waiting to find out [the sex]. We want to be surprised. It will be a big surprise either way! I figure part of it I’ll get from the book and part will be just instinct.”

He also discussed preparing for the baby's arrival at the SAG Awards, telling E! News: "The list of things you're meant to get before going to the hospital, and it's a long list of stuff right there! "We have this sort of dream of like wooden toys, and all that, and everyone's like, 'Yeah you always start off like that, but you end up with like iPhones!" Eddie will be seen next in the Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, in which he plays an eccentric wizard traveling to NYC in the 1920s to and ends up having to retrieve some beasties who have escaped.
