Eddie Redmayne Playing Lead In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

The forthcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will have Eddie Redmayne in the lead role. The movie will be directed by David Yates and will mark the return of J.K. Rowling to cinemas. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been in the production phase since August.

According to Comingsoon, Eddie spoke about meeting the author and said, “When I was prepping, I met J.K. Rowling and what’s so amazing is that her imagination is so full and thorough–it’s so encyclopedic of her world–we had an hour together and I sort of asked her about 800 questions so that was a lot of my wonderful research”. The Danish Girl actor also praised the director saying, “He’s wonderful. Even though there’s a scale to these films that could be intimidating, he has such a kindness but an absolutely brilliant that it feels very intimate, and he’s got such a wonderful, eclectic cast. Hopefully, it will be good”.

Eddie is known for his role in The Theory of Everything, where he played theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. He will soon be seen in The Danish Girl where he plays Lili Elbe, the first person to get gender changing surgery. The movie will hit the screens on November 27 in the U.S.
