Edward Norton to join Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu’s Birdman crew

A new impressive entry has been announced to Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu’sBirdmanleague, the actor ofAmerican History Xwho got nominated for Academy Award, Edward Norton. Norton has been signed up to play the egotistic lead actor’s role in the Broadway play that Michael Keaton’s character, a former actor would direct in the movie to regain his credibility.

The dark comedy,Birdman, will be directed under the banner of Fox Searchlight and New Regency. The other lead roles in the film will be played by Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis and it will go on floors by mid-April in a New York Broadway theater. The storyline will be based on a short story by Raymond Carver.
