Emma Roberts Intrigued By 'The Shining' While Working For ‘American Horror Story'

It is no doubt that actress Emma Roberts is an avid book reader. She has herself confessed that she loves reading book. The 26-year-old has even said that before taking up any role, she first makes it a point to read books so that she can portray the character well.

And this the reason that the Nerve actress got deeply engrossed in the novel 'The Shining' which is written by Stephen King while preparing for TV series ‘American Horror Story'. "When I was doing 'American Horror Story', I was reading a lot of Stephen King and became obsessed with 'The Shining'. And then I also read 'Shutter Island'. Books are a really fun way to get yourself in a certain mindset or mood as an actress," says the Scream Queens actress.

She further added, "I always pick out a bookshelf for every character I play. I get around three or five books to have with me while I'm playing a character..." Her love for books has made her start a book club, known as Belletrist, with her friend Karah Preiss. Any person who is passionate for reading books can sign up for the club.
