Emma Watson Might Get Super Rich In The Coming Days If Beauty And The Beast Smashes Box Office Records!

Emma Watson, who plays Belle in the live-action remake, Beauty and the Beast might get very rich in over a week’s span if reboot of the 1991 Disney classic smashes worldwide box office collections. If reports are anything to go by, Watson was paid an upfront cheque of $3m to play Belle, but her profits will hike to about USD 15 million (Rs 100 crore approximately), depending upon the film’s total gross. It may, or may not; sound too much, but for Watson, who grossed $60m for all eight Harry Potter instalments, it's a hefty amount.

Beauty and the Beast is at the moment one of the most successfully running films, it has hit the bull's eye in terms of box office collections after grossing £18.4m over the first week. However, the film has become America’s seventh best debut of all time and has also been enlisted as the top March debut ever. Speculations are rife that the film might have a sequel, although the 1991 Disney animation did not have any sequel.

Beauty and the Beast is thus Emma Watson’s major break after Harry Potter franchise, where she essayed the role of Harry Potter’s best friend Hermione Granger. The interesting factor about Disney is that the studio has too much in their piggy; Maleficent grossed $759 million worldwide, while Cinderella hauled in $544 million and 2016’s The Jungle Book made $967 million. Everything is just perfect for Beauty and the Beast, except for the fact that Malaysia’s Censor Board is not releasing the film because of a gay sequence.
